-
Storing; For unused weft hair bundles, store them in a sealed bag.
-
Washing; Ensure you are washing the hair REGULARLY (every 6-8 weeks or after 10 wears). When washing, soaking bundles in nourishing hair conditioner can ensure optimal results. Use hydrating and sulphate free products, wash with lukewarm water. Avoid the “scrunch me method” (scrunching the hair in ball), use a wide tooth comb to detangle and start from tips to roots.
- Note that excessive washing can strip your hair of it’s natural oils, which can cause your extensions to loose their silk and lustre.
- AVOID CHLORINE AND SALT WATER! Exposure to these chemicals can cause damage. If you plan on swimming with the extensions, use a swim cap.
-
Drying Techniques; Opt for air drying where possible to maintain the natural beauty and texture of the hair. If you must use a dryer, choose a cooler or low-heat setting to avoid excessive heat.
-
Heat and styling; While the versatility of the weft hairs enables various styling options, it is recommended to use heat styling tools SPARINGLY to avoid heat damage. Avoid using heavy oil products on the hair, especially when applying heat (ie curler, hair dryer). Also try and avoid applying heat all the time (this is human hair, even your natural hair will become damaged from excessive heat).
-
Gentle handling; Treat your hair extensions with care, avoid excessive pulling or toggling as this can damage both extensions and your natural hair!
-
Regular bushing; Utilize a soft-bristle brush for gentle detangling, start from the ends and work your way up to avoid knots and tangling.
-
Wrapping; Wrap the hair in a silky scarf or bonnet to maintain quality at night time.
